Our History

B.E. Beecroft Co., Inc. was founded in 1967 by Bert Beecroft. A 1951 Civil Engineering graduate of Texas A&M College, Bert was commissioned in the United States Air Force and served as a fighter pilot in the Korean War. After his military service was complete, he worked with several construction-related companies in various parts of Texas, eventually joining a family member in Corpus Christi. Deciding to work on his own, he formed B. E. Beecroft Co., Inc. and began performing commercial building projects.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Celia in August of 1970, there was a tremendous amount of construction in the Corpus Christi area, which provided the opportunity for the company to grow to an established and sustainable firm. The company has continued to grow through the years but has retained the commitment to fair business dealings and honest communication that Bert Beecroft practiced from the beginning.

In 1984 Sam Beecroft joined the firm after working for W. S. Bellows Construction Corporation for 5 years in Houston, Texas. Also a Civil Engineering graduate of Texas A&M University, Sam guided the company as President from 1998 until 2020. Sam’s personal interest in the design and engineering fields led the company to pursue projects of a more technical nature, or projects that require greater than average skill from the builder.In 1998 Shannon Reynolds joined the firm. With a Construction Science degree from Texas A&M University, Shannon began his career with Freese and Nichols in Ft. Worth managing several large and complex civil and building projects throughout Texas. After starting with Beecroft in 1998, Shannon’s strong operational skills and willingness to accept new challenges led to rapidly increasing responsibilities, and as a shareholder and principal since 2007, Shannon has led operations and driven performance improvement throughout the firm.

Mike Muñoz began working for the firm in 2006 while a student in Construction Science at Texas A&M University. Upon graduation in 2008 he returned and is now Vice President and a shareholder and principal. Mike oversees many of our larger projects and maintains the strong relationships with some of our largest clients.

AFTER 56 YEARS OF CONTINUOUS COMMERCIAL BUILDING WORK IN SOUTH TEXAS, B. E. BEECROFT CO., INC. BELIEVES THAT OUR FOUNDATION IS SOLID. WE BELIEVE THAT THE OLD RULES OF HONESTY AND DEDICATION TO CRAFT STILL APPLY. WE BELIEVE THAT NEW TOOLS APPLIED WITH SKILL CAN YIELD EFFICIENCY AND MAKE POSSIBLE WHAT COULD ONLY BE DREAMED OF IN THE PAST. AND WE BELIEVE THAT OUR BRIGHTEST DAYS ARE AHEAD OF US.
